11 Aug Iconic Comedian Robin Williams Dead At 63. Suicide Likely Cause
Comedian Robin Williams was found dead in his California home this morning. Suicide is being ruled as the explanation of his death. Williams was 63.
Williams had been battling depression recently and was in rehab in the past couple of years for cocaine addiction which he struggled with early in his career and has been struggling with again. Robin was also being treated for depression and was in a rehab center in Minnesota in June of this year.
The photo above was taken in the Lindstrom, Minnesota Dairy Queen where Robin, looking lanky and thin, was reportedly only visiting the Hazelden Treatment Center in Center City, Minnesota.
His wife Susan Schneider released a statement to the Hollywood Reporter:
“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin‘s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions,”
Chris Rock posted “So Sad, so funny.” after hearing of his passing.
Questlove and others took to Twitter to express their sadness of his loss.
