16 Jan …And The PRINCE Glastonbury Rumors Start Again…
Here we are in 2014 and just like in 2013 and 2012 and 2011 and (You see a pattern here?) there are rumors starting up of PRINCE headlining the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom.
Every year they do this and every year Prince doesn’t perform.
is advertising Prince every year to perform even legal? Is it fair that Prince is used to sell tickets or promote Glastonbury? The festival is sold out so why do they need to do that?
What Do U think?????-DocFB

Posted at 11:44h, 28 JanuaryHere’s an attempt at an explanation of why I think the Glastonbury festival is worth visiting (whether you are a potential headliner or just Joe Public like me)
Its the 2nd largest performing arts festival in Europe. There are nearly 1,000 non musical performances including circus , poetry, theatre, film, comedy, and cabaret
festival performances take place on wedensday evening through to monday morning
the festival donates nearly all profit to charity, $3 million last year went to WaterAid, Greenpeace, Oxfam and host of good causes.
the festival has no corporate sponsorship
it isn’t an ‘arena’ festival. its on 24/7 , music license runs till 6am in the ‘late night zone’ part of the site.
its set in the Vale of Avalon, a place with a deep spiritual history. you can feel it
the festival is full of contrasts and paradoxes that are transcended by the freedom the festival brings. here’s an example

Posted at 03:42h, 18 JanuaryDON’T BLAME THE FESTIVAL! Glastonbury Festival has nothing to do with these rumours. It is the stupid UK press and media. Glastonbury’s 120,000 tickets sold out in an hour and 27 mins with NO line up announced.
People go as they love the festival.
It is a fantastic festival, the biggest and best in my opinion. Prince would rule there… but it is his decision.

Posted at 12:26h, 17 JanuaryVery good friends of mine are friends with the Eaves. I have never met them but if I ever do, I’ll ask them why the rumours start as I didn’t think Prince’s camp had ever been in conversation with them (politely as possible of course). It irritates me that this happens every year as I don’t think it’s right. I actually hope that Prince never does Glastonbury for some reason. Possibly because it is filthy there and I would have to go back. My friends usually get given a spot behind the stage where they stay in a camper van and the facilities are so much better.
Sorry to sound so negative. Hope you’re well by the way Doc.

Posted at 01:30h, 17 JanuaryGlastonbury festival never accounces acts till right before the festival. It’s other sites that put up the rumours so it’s not Glastonbury Festival fault they are up there. I’ve been to the festival 3 times now and only once before buying the ticket did I have a glue who might be a headliner and that U2 because they cancelled the year before. Recently they had to confirm a act early because the band accounced it by mistake early. A good site to keep a eye on is efestival normally once they have unconfirmed next to a name it’s pretty much they will be going.

Posted at 01:12h, 17 JanuaryThe Glastonbury rumour is actually a yearly happening in Prince land. This started way before 2011. He probably never play there…i hope

Posted at 00:03h, 17 JanuaryWith the tight grip he has on YouTube post, he needs to tell them “SHOW ME THE MONEY”

Posted at 20:07h, 16 JanuaryWell. It’s logical. He drops not just a show. Wherever he goes he drops the most Funkiest show. Many people know. I was lucky to be @ the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival last year. Even the organising Mojo Concert guys were blown away. No joke.
