The 80’s Old School Jam Of The Moment is “I Melt With You” by Modern English.

Modern English was a British New Wave band and was from their 1982 album “After The Snow” and if you can believe it, “I Melt With You” only made it to number #78 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 1983. Terrible.

The song was featured prominently in the movie “Valley Girl” and although MTV had it in heavy rotation and the band re-released it with mixes in 1990 and it re-entered the Billboard charts going all the way to……#76, just two places higher than when it was first released.

At least VH-1 ranked it at #39 in their top 100 songs of the 80’s list.-DocFB

Diagnosis: Modern English re-recorded the song again 2010 and this time…..the world still didn’t stop…and the song didn’t chart.
