10 Sep Arsenio Debuts With Huge Ratings But Kimmel, Fallon, & Letterman Steal His Thunder!
The Arsenio Hall show debuted with huge numbers but not huge guests last night. It is great to see him back. Will the ratings stay that high or were the ratings due to a curiosity interest in Arsenio?
Make sure to catch tonight’s “What’s Up Doc” to where this will be a topic of discussion!
Arsenio had Jay Leno, Tara Reid, and Paula Abdul as special guests. The confirmed guests were Chris Tucker and Snoop Dogg/Lion.
Fallon had Steve Harvey and Duck Dynasty but a surprise performer of Kanye West with Charlie Wilson.
David Letterman had Janelle Monae on his show last night.
Kanye and Janelle seemed like perfect guests for Arsenio, especially on his debut episode. I understand for nostalgia having Snoop on but Kanye or Janelle should have been on his show.
Although the ratings went to Arsenio, Kimmel led in popularity trending on Twitter for almost the entire night as it was found out he was behind a Twerking fire video that went viral and fooled everyone that it was staged.
Arsenio’s guests for Tuesday night will be Ice Cube, Lisa Kudrow, and Mac Miller. Can he pull off getting a few cast members from “Friends” to be on the show?
Kimmel has Simon Cowell, Stacey Kiebler and Gary Clark Jr. That is a pretty stacked episode.
Letterman has Billy Crystal and Sheryl Crow. Eh.
Fallon has Michelle Pfiefer, David Cross, and Volcano Choir.
Unless Arsenio pulls in a surprise guest, Kimmel’s episode on paper looks better.-DocFB
Diagnosis: We are rooting for Arsenio. When his show first aired, all he had to do was worry about Johnny Carson. Now, there is a lot more competition. He needs to dominate on guests and ratings now. He has one. Time to get the other…..
