Wish I could go but I’ll be out of town that week, plus I already have tickets to see 3 former backing singers for one of Bruce Springsteen’s touring band from the Tunnel Of Love tour & it wasn’t easy but I also scored tix to see 2/5’s of Mick Jagger’s touring band from the Wandering Spirit tour, have fun guys!! And for all the haters Im glad you’re staying at home and not going! Make room for those that WANT to be there, there are plenty who would love to spend their hard earned $350 for the pleasure to hear such a talented band!

Btw I’ve already seen Prince 42 times between 1988 and 2013 (Ooops it doesn’t count, by the time it wasn’t Shelby top dollars shows..!)

They’re practically giving tickets away! Prince doesn’t even need to show up, because I could listen to them sing other peoples classics all night long from Misty Blue to Brown Skin & City Winery is such an intimate venue too, you guys are in for a treat!! It’ll feel like every 11 member horn solo’s will be right in your ear! They may have never released an album or are rock and roll hall of famers or even heard of outside of the Prince community but they deserve to be treated as such and charge as much, a 22 piece band isn’t cheap you know, they gotta eat too. I mean would you rather see Earth, Wind, & Fire, George Clinton & the P Funk All Stars, Cameo for the same amount or even cheaper or the NPG sans Prince? Exactly! Thank you NPG & can’t wait to see you!

Well at least Prince is being honest in his advertising now because this is how night 1 & 2 of Montreux should’ve been billed, wild guess but I say if he’s indeed only playing 1 show, it’s going to be the $200-$350 show, if not the NPG must put on a hell of a show to require top dollar like that! Even $75-$100 for a non Prince show seems a bit pricey to me, when it was a non Prince show with the same band in June wasn’t it only $20?? Dropping $75-$100 per show is a bit of a gamble on wondering whether or not he’s going to play that certain show & no guarantees.
