10 Jul Robin Thicke Hits Back About “Blurred Lines” Being Rapey: “That’s Ridiculous!”
Robin Thicke was being interviewed by BBC’s Radio 1 and the question of his hit sing “Blurred Lines” being somewhat rapey and he went on the defensive.
“I can’t even dignify that with a response, that’s ridiculous,”
I don’t want to be sleazy, I’m a gentleman, I’ve been in love with the same woman since I’ve been a teenager. I don’t want to do anything inappropriate.”

It was his wife Paula Patton that wanted the the NSFW version of “Blurred Lines” released.
“My initial response was I love the clothed version, I don’t think we should put out the naked version,” “And then I showed it to my wife and all of her girlfriends and they said, ‘You have to put this out, this is so sexy and so cool.'”
“For me it’s about blurring the lines between men and women and how much we’re the same,” “And the other side which is the blurred lines between a good girl and a bad girl, and even very good girls all have little bad sides to them.”
Interesting. Since he told GQ in a recent interview the opposite.
“We tried to do everything that was taboo. Bestiality, drug injections, and everything that is completely derogatory towards women. Because all three of us are happily married with children, we were like, “We’re the perfect guys to make fun of this.”
People say, “Hey, do you think this is degrading to women?” I’m like, “Of course it is. What a pleasure it is to degrade a woman. I’ve never gotten to do that before. I’ve always respected women.” So we just wanted to turn it over on its head and make people go, “Women and their bodies are beautiful. Men are always gonna want to follow them around.”
Hmm. Which one is it? Seems that Robin is “Blurring” the lines. Kudos, Mr. Thicke, kudos.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Robin is totally playing this up. The official video has 84 million views. The UNCENSORED version? Just over 500,000.

Posted at 20:16h, 11 JulyI don’t see his song and video as musicians who are promoting rape. I just don’t get how the media has perceived this notion. I’m a woman and I approve this message.lol! But seriously they are all happily married with children. Do u think Paula Patton or Tiny would be with men that were ok with rape? C’mon people! People need to stop over thinking everything a musician says and does.
