12 Feb ONENPG.ORG???? Stand Up? Organize?
OK, PRINCE fans. I just noticed that a ONENPG on Twitter was following me, and no one else. I then went to the web site behind the Twitter account, which is ONENPG.org and it made me really curious.
1st, the tweets, so far, are 3 and I embedded 2 of them below:
“We R the New Power Generation, We want 2 change the world
— ONE NPG (@ONEnpg) February 12, 2013
“We need a new breed…Leaders, Stand Up, Organize”
— ONE NPG (@ONEnpg) February 12, 2013
Then, I went to ONENPG.org and….I didn’t know what to think.

It also states: PRINCE Is Likely The Most Prolific Artists, Having Created Hundreds Of Projects Over The Past 35 Years That Have Never Been Released. The Vault Is His Storied Depository For These Works.
This was something discussed in our very first Spreecast about a site run by the fans. Hmm. It can’t hurt, so I added my email address and followed them back on Twitter.

Posted at 15:34h, 13 FebruaryMy key Question is if this is officially sanctioned (a 3rd website, some kind of PR stunt etc. or promotion for something official to come) or just some kind of petition…??

Posted at 13:11h, 13 FebruaryGiovanni777- I’m with you! Bring on new material and I’m old school… I want a cd or lp, with a booklet or liner notes etc!
There are some old ones he has mentioned in interviews as being too good to release… I’d like to hear them. I’d also like a quality release of the Grand Progression! Otherwise…sometimes the past is just that…

Posted at 11:01h, 13 FebruaryIf this were a collective to get Prince to release new music (via new albums in physical form), I’d be interested… if Prince was indeed involved.
I’m one of the very few here that don’t care as much about ‘The Vault’ as I do about new music/new directions.
I really love “Screwdriver” (from lyric video version), but sadly, if it doesn’t get released in high quality (and ideally in physical form as part of an album), I likely won’t be listening to it again.
For me, the shelf life (longevity) and rotation of an mp3/mp4 is about one day, whereas a great song on a great album is years long.
The Lotusflow3r album is still in high rotation at my crib.
‘Nuff said.

Posted at 10:17h, 13 FebruaryPrince is the only major star I know who has to engage his fans with multi-websites , after years of suing the living daylights out of thembsites. Lovely!

Posted at 09:38h, 13 FebruaryIt would be highly unusual for him to decide to open the said “Vault.” It’s not like everything he’s ever recorded has been done in the same fashion, so unless he has someone making digital archives, which would be costly… Who knows, some of the bootlegs out there may contain the best available versions of some of these tracks depending on how he recorded them anyway. The Vault could be master tapes, cassette tapes, digital stuff… A real hodgepodge (?). It’s unlikely he will release anything that would trouble his conscience, so some stuff may not come out until after he’s dead. He just said on TV last year he wouldn’t be releasing this stuff but that someone else would someday (just before Welcome 2 Chicago), inferring after his death, but maybe not. He could do anything or nothing or change his mind. Sounds like a petition by someone else more than anything but time will tell, it could be a publicity stunt. From the Internet is dead to overkill? He already has my emails theoretically from how many websites now, including 3rdeyegirl? Why do I need to give it again? I shouldn’t if it is him!

Posted at 07:57h, 13 FebruaryDoc, usually, I would jump in on this myself. However, with so many people trying to get access to Prince’s music, it might be better to check this one out. What if Prince isn’t behind this new twitter account? Prince is a genius and deserves only the best, period!

Posted at 04:32h, 13 FebruaryIs this officially sanctioned or not? If not it would be incredibly irresponsible to publicise on here – and potentially detrimental to fans’ online security. I think you need to clarify this and forget about ambiguity.

Posted at 02:22h, 13 FebruaryI am with teiemka on this one. If Prince wanted wanted them to be released they would be. I would pluck a guess that many documentaries, videos & albums, songs etc are in the fault for a reason. Prince understands his own genius & many of the stuff in his fault is for when he passes on, & will be released when he is gone from this world. I would also guess that his fault & estate will be left for music programs & music schools. I would guess that Prince tends to be around long after he is gone. No need to sign up to this site.
