07 Feb Tegan & Sara Debut At #3 On Billboard Top 200; To Tour With FUN.
Tegan and Sara’s new album “Heartthrob” debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200, their highest debut EVER in their 13 year career.
We have been covering T&S a lot over the past few months. We are not taking credit for their biggest success ever but there is no such thing as coincidence though….
More than doubling their previous high for Sainthood’s first week back in 2009, Heartthrob sold over 49,000 copies this week, debuting at #3 on Billboard Top 200 and #1 on both the Billboard Alternative and Rock charts.
In support of Heartthrob, Tegan and Sara have announced a huge North American summer tour with their good friends in FUN. The “Most Nights” tour kicks in early July and runs through the end of September. A full list of confirmed dates is below. Says Jack Antonoff of FUN. “Tegan and Sara greatly impacted the way I think about writing and recording music at the moment that FUN. was forming and for me, that makes it extra special that we get to tour together this summer…Heartthrob is absolutely incredible and the three of us are so thrilled to hear it live every night this summer!”
Tegan And Sara are also nominated for a Grammy this Sunday for Best Long Form Video for their live album/documentary “Get Along” and it is the bands first ever Grammy nomination!
