Wow. PRINCE and the NPG are in rehearsal for the Welcome 2 Australia tour!!! Ticket sales are BLAZING. What started as 3 shows is now up to 6. Australia, how many shows can U handle?
To begin every week of rehearsal, to get the rust off, PRINCE and the band jam one song for 30-45 minutes.
“The Dance Electric” in its original form with vocals will be one of the featured encore songs for the Welcome 2 Australia tour.

I’ve been to hundreds of Prince concerts (too many to count) and I’ve loved his music through all the many changes and era’s and I’m still enjoying him. So thanks for 30+ years of funk! Got in trouble from the Mrs, for spending more than $1000 in tickets,who is actually coming to the first show, along with my sis and 6 other amigos. Prince, please make it funky for us,

IM really looking to the aftershow gigs aswell, a word of advise please do not choose poor sound quality venues for this eg the hi if bar. We have plenty better venues for this eg the Palace nightclub, where you perform ur last aftershow gig in Melbourne, or the Forum the acoustics are just amazing, many of my friends are looking forward to your funky jams, at the aftershow, especially after the first show, please advise when the time comes. We are a city that appreciates live music, just like Canada, just ask Maceo, he was here last week.
You are a Funk phenomenon and agreat artist – bless you and respect! Last time you were here they said it was the last time you were performing your hits, looking forward to more of your newer funky stuff from your recent albums, MPLS,musicology,rainbow children etc I’ve been an NPG club member and also attended the once in a life time sound check, per concert experience,
last time you were in Melbourne.
Time taken off from work to que up from 6am for tickets – check.
Annual leave taken for the concerts and aftershow gigs – check.
Stocking up on vitamins for the tour in Melbourne – check.
Going to gym to keep fit for the tour in Melbourne – check.

By the way Dr. F. any news on the band line up, is Larry, Maceo, Candy coming to Aussie tour? What’s the horn section like? Hope it’s a funky band as the Musicology tour….Are you coming to the Aussie tour aswell? Would love to show you our funky bands, The Bamboos etc
