Wow. PRINCE and the NPG are in rehearsal for the Welcome 2 Australia tour!!! Ticket sales are BLAZING. What started as 3 shows is now up to 6. Australia, how many shows can U handle?
To begin every week of rehearsal, to get the rust off, PRINCE and the band jam one song for 30-45 minutes.
“The Dance Electric” in its original form with vocals will be one of the featured encore songs for the Welcome 2 Australia tour.

Posted at 00:47h, 18 AprilHi prince and friends (if you read this) Regarding your shows ticket sales, i had bought my tickets before they officially went on sale. i bought from a 3rd party website. these tickets cost me $850 each, if i was to buy from the official normal ticketing agent on the date they were advertised to go on sale, these same tickets were advertised to be $450.
i was aware of this but i just wanted to guarantee myself great seats and didn’t mind paying extra because i knew this chance doesn’t come up often for us.
now the promoter chugg entertainment stated that there was an official facebook page for the tour and that facebook group ‘prince w2 australia tour’ wrote this on their facebook;
“Guys a little heads up in regard to ticketing.
No tickets have been issued as yet. All tickets go on sale at 9am Monday where everyone will be able to access all ticket categories at the advertised prices. No tickets have been issued to any company selling VIP packages as these will be issued monday. You can access tickets in all categories from 9am”
The day tickets were due to go on sale at 9am, i logged on to have a look and a about 10 seconds after 9am… not yet 9:01am the website stated that the V.I.P tickets had sold out.
to me this shows that the promoter lied, and in fact allocated all these vip tickets to third party companies, knowing that they would be charging almost double the price. it’s pretty upsetting seeing as though you do so much to try to provide affordable tickets to the people and don’t like including the middle man. just another punk who wants to make a cut on someone elses behalf.
prince, if you had somekind of register where your “fans” & friends could sign up and perhaps provide fans with a secret pre-sale link so that they could get preffered seating. this would elliminate these scumbags who come in and make hundreds of thousands of dollars from little people like us..
i bought 8 tickets at $850 each, these $850 seats where selling for $450 but a few seconds after 9am there were none available. it’s a lot of money for me and seems against everything you stand for. 2045 radical man 🙂 what sucks is that the bulk of this money is going to showbiz entertainment.. a company that has nothing to do with you and/or the tour. it’s an opportunity for them to earn great money from people in a desperate situation.
please help us become a family again
