29 Sep Is Sly Stone Really Homeless & Living In A Van Down By The River?

This is seriously no joke; Sly Stone is homeless. Regardless if he does not mind, one of the great musical pioneers of the 60’s and 70’s is living in a van in Los Angeles.

I know through the years, several have reached out to Sly but he has not taken their help. Holly Robinson Peete was pleading via Twitter for Sly to live with her. Seriously.

I have been trying to find this white van that the NY Post had found in Los Angeles.  What I can tell you is that family members say is it Sly’s decision to live in the van.  Yes, he is broke due to his drug habit and also bad business decisions.

This is hard for me.  This is what happens when you do not respect money but also like Rick James used to say “cocaine is a hell of a drug.”

We all know Sly’s music.  We have heard it in our soul.  In movies.  In stupid car commercials.  HE sold his publishing rights in the 1980’s and Michael Jackson bought them for considerably less than what they were worth.

Sly believes he is on his way to a musical comeback and does not want to live in one place, but this is too much.

We have to ask, does Sly even want the help of “Everyday People” right now?  This is not living.  This is not funk.  This is not happiness.  Right?-DocFB
