05 Oct Eric Benét Gets”Lost In Time” On New CD
Eric Benét has a new CD on it’s way November along with a tour as well.
Eric will be touring for the new CD entitled “Lost In Time” and will be playing with American Idol winner Fantasia.
If the CD sounds nostalgic to listeners, there is a reason. Eric is trying to bring that 70’s soul sound back. He will have duets with Faith Evans, Chrisette Michele, Ledisi, and the O’Jays’ Eddie Levert.
“People just need to have some feel good R&B in their lives,” says Eric. “I want people to remember what music can feel like, and that desire took me all the way back to that time. My development as an artist is a direct result of being immersed in that era.”
Eric also returned to his roots of his hometown of Milwaukee when it came time to record the CD. He even recorded with the Milwaukee Symphony Strong section for the CD. “When it comes to something that resonates in your soul, you have to have something constructed with live musicians.”
“Sometimes I Cry” is currently number 5 on the Urban AC Chart. We must say, we are looking forward to something new from this cat.-Dr.FB
