“Sign Your Name” was a funky track in the 80’s that was still funky today. Not sure it needed a remake but Sheryl Crow and Justin Timberlake have covered it anyway.

It is different from the original and now the video for it is out.

    It’s okay…just okay! I’m not a big fan of remakes anyway and this is one that, in my opinion, could have been left alone. I LOVE the original by TTD (as he was then known) and would never buy this one. I do fear, as Afrochick said, that some people may not even realize that this is not an original and I hope that enough will realize and introduce themselves to some of Sananda’s more recent work.

    agree with u.nothing NEW with this cover.In fact the guy is named SANANDA MAITREYA now and he s still cREATING new things.Check it out on his web site.Beautiful songS and new.Share ur pain.AND a lot more.HE is far from the eighties now may b.30 YEARS AWAY.

    I always wonder WHHHHHYYYYY in the world some folks think it is necessary to do yet again ANOTHER REMAKE!!!Are people fresh out of their own ideas?!I like Sheryl and Justin…and this song would’ve been much better with new lyrics and given to Mr Marc Broussard and Tommy Sims to throw it down!Sanada Maitreya as he is known today doesn’t get enough credit or attention for his talent.I would much rather hear him sing HIS own song! 🙂

    She did a good job with the song. I have a feeling though that some who have never heard the original may think that this is her orignal song and not Terrence Trend D’Arby’s.
