Posted at 06:01h, 06 MayNOT A WILD MUSIC FAN… BUT I LOVE PRINCE. HE’S PRETTY LIKE A WOMAN. I LOVE HIS SPEECH, I HOPE ALL THOSE UP-COMING ARTISTE HEARD IT. THE TRIBUTE WAS INSUFFICIENT – B E T COULD HAVE DONE BETTER. I THINK I ONLY HEARD HIS BIRTH YEAR!

Posted at 23:32h, 11 JulyThe tribute was good but could have been better. I think they should have chosen other classics like 1999, Little Red Corvette, Kiss and When Doves Cry.

I didn’t mind that she didn’t hit those notes cuz she was putting it all out there. She also either sang a line of wrong lyrics or it just sounded funky. Prince closed his eyes 4 a sec cuz he was feelin her but at that moment he opened them n had a puzzled look on his face like “what…did.she..just..say…?” funny.

Posted at 07:43h, 29 JuneAnd one thing:
lately here and there I am reading “Prince doesn´t smile”, … “oh, nice, he is smiling in this pic!”, or “I like when he smiles cause he normally doesnt…”, or “he always look very serious…”.
WHAT??!!! you don´t know Prince?? He LOVES to SMILE, to LAUGH, and he smiles and laughs A LOT!!!
It´s only me that see this???

Posted at 07:35h, 29 JuneGood tribute. The huge passion Alicia feels for Prince (I think she would go to bed with him without thinking a second, and he knows that, oh yes, he knows), made her want to go too far with some notes and failed. But good tribute.

Posted at 21:47h, 28 JuneI thought the tribute was nicely done…with style and class. The performers Janelle, Esperanza, Alicia and Patti all did very well; although not perfect, you could tell they felt the music and their hearts were 100% there ~ those were difficult Prince songs and we’re used to hearing him sing them.
As far as the “mistakes” comment, I don’t believe he implied he’s ashamed of his decisions or past but that younger artists can and should learn from his journey to avoid some of the trials he’s endured. Its good that he acknowledged some errors, that’s real!
I think BET did a good job.
