07 Jan Breaking News: Jay Leno Back to Late Night
We just learned that beginning February 1, 2010, Jay Leno will be taking back his old 11:30pm time slot on NBC.
This is what Jay’s been hoping for all along as his 10pm show has not done well, and audiences don’t seem to be bonding with Conan’s Tonight Show.
What’s unclear at this point is what will happen to Conan O’Brien. Will Jay’s 11:30pm show be short, followed by Conan? Or will Conan be ousted altogether and Jay will resume his original Tonight Show duties? More details to come.
TMZ reports that Jay and Conan have both been informed of the change.
What do you guys think? Happy to see Jay coming back or are you rooting for Conan to stay where he is? – Dr.FB

Posted at 09:22h, 08 JanuaryI’m glad that NBC is about to right the wrong that they did towards Jay Leno. I knew it was a mistake from the first time the I heard about the change in 2003 or 2004 and sure enough what I thought to be true was just that. I haven’t watched The Tonight Show much at all since Conan took over the spot. Jay looks silly at 10pm and I’m glad that he’s going to go back this his rightful spot. I hope he gets the hour and that Jimmy Fallon is given a chance to grow at 12:35.

Posted at 22:04h, 07 JanuaryWell, thank goodness! I haven’t been able to watch NBC late night since Conan took over the time slot! Even when he was on after Jay, I ALWAYS had to change the channel when Jay went off. I look forward to his return and frankly, I don’t care WHAT they do with Conan! I knew they had made a mistake when they dissed Jay to keep Conan at the network. Now we KNOW they did and they obviously plan to correct it.

Posted at 17:53h, 07 JanuaryAs a European fan of both, I’ve been expecting this since I read the news that Leno’s new show didn’t do very well. I like Conan’s humor very much but I was afraid that the big and general audience wouldn’t go for it and I expect NBC to make that judgment as well.
Let’s see how this develops. I wish both excellent entertainers all the luck in the world.

Posted at 16:41h, 07 JanuaryI cannot stand Conan Obrien. I hope its true and Jay does come back to late night. I’ve been watching Dave Letterman but I’ll gladly return to NBC to watch Jay if he comes back.
I think they should move Jimmy Falon to after Jay and just do away with Conan. I’m sure someone will take him somewhere else since he does seem to have some kind of following.
