The MTV Video Music Award nomnations came out yesterday and Lady Gaga n Beyonce lead with 8 nominations apiece.  With a technical award, Gaga is actually nominated for 9 awards.

Britney Spears pulled in 6 nominations as well. Russell Brand will host the 26th MTV Awards after hosting last year and increasing it’s ratings for the first time in years. The show will air on September 13th, 2009.
