27 Mar Review: Morrisey At Webster Hall In NY
Thanks to our NY correspondant for sending this in and taking photos.
Mopey Morrissey is back, touring in support of his latest album “Years Of Refusal.” This is the second show I’ve seen this week, and Morrissey does not disappoint. The crowd at the sold out show at Webster Hall, screamed, cheered, threw flowers and of course rushed the stage to get a little piece of Morrissey all night. While the set list consisted largely of his latest album, he also threw in some fan favorites, “Irish Blood, English Heart,” “The First of the Gang To Die,” “Billy Budd,” “Let Me Kiss You,” and from The Smiths: “This Charming Man,” “How Soon Is Now,” “Ask” and “Death of A Disco Dancer.” On his new album, he sings that he’s throwing his arms around Paris. This week, he threw his arms around New York.
Thanks to GED for sending this in. We appreciate it!-Dr.FB
