PRINCE Photo: MTV News PRINCE & 3RDEYEGIRL just played a show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London and from what we have been told, it is one of the best concert's people have ever seen! Did we expect anything less? Mako Bones, who was at the Electric Ballroom's shows had this to say about tonight's show! Ok tonight was off the hook! 2 1/2 hours! I queued for 6 hours to see the bomb! Even George Clinton was in the building in a suit so blinging white it was radiating from the balcony! Gig started at 8 with 3RDEYEGIRL coming center stage and introducing themselves and gave a speech on wanting to connect with you without seeing your phones. Right on sisters! Then the funk n roll broke loose! For the full review and set list, click here!!!!

PRINCE Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage.com PRINCE along with the NEW POWER GENERATION, 3RDEYEGIRL, and JANELLE MONAE closed out a 3 night affair at the Mohegan Sun Arena with quite a bit of flair. The purple icon took the stage with Janelle earlier in the night to perform their duet "Givin' Em What They Love" and he was rolled out on a dolly! Andy Allo Photo: DrFunkenberry

Andy Allo performed at Hotel Cafe on Monday, the last night of her residency to a packed house. Seconds after she took the stage, Prince glided in to catch the show. Andy Allo kicked off her 45+ minute set with a new song that was quite beautiful but no title was given. Next was a funky version of "Yellow Gold" from her album "Superconductor" followed by a rock-sounding "Wait In Vain" by Bob Marley. Allo followed that up with another song from Superconductor, the beautifully-tinged "Nothing More" which I was extremely happy to hear live. Prince Purple Rain 29 years ago today, on June 25th, 1984 an album was released that changed the landscape of music. That album is "Purple Rain" by Prince & The Revolution. "When Doves Cry" was released on May 16, 1984 and dominated radio becoming the song of the summer and giving "Purple Rain" the album and movie, the promotion it needed with just that one song. It helped that the album had immensely strong material. But what if "Purple Rain" was something like a relationship? How would it go? PRINCE 3rdEyeGirl Anaheim Poster Design By LV

PRINCE & 3rdEyeGirl brought the funk n roll to the City National Grove of Anaheim yesterday for 2 shows. If you're smart and in the area, you will be at The Grove tonight for the last of a 2 night stand. Out of all the venues I have seen the Live Out Loud tour at, the Grove is definitely the loudest. You might want to bring ear plugs. Don't worry, PRINCE's guitar and voice can be heard clearly on the Grove's system. Also, The Grove is taking PRINCE's wishes of no photography VERY seriously. They are on it. So seriously that I had to write my review and set list old school style...on pen and paper. Not so easy in the dark...and my handwriting isn't exactly that great! The Grove had their stuff together. There seemed to be a mix up with the wristbands for the pit area for the second show but not going to mention what it was so no one tries it tonight and I'm sure the Grove will have that in order as well. Classy V.I.P. area and treatment compared to Las Vegas & San Diego. That extra touch makes things that much more enjoyable. I will come back in further detail to give a review but will say that both shows were high energy for 3rdEyeGirl and the Orange County crowd. During "Purple Rain" when PRINCE felt the crowd was not loud enough, he said "we are a little bit far from Hollywood, let me hear your voices" and that might be why there is no Los Angeles tour date at all (yet) on this tour. The industry crowd would be too cool to sing along when we all know it is better together. If you were at the shows, please share your thoughts and reviews in the comments section.  Thank you. In the middle of the 2nd show, the set list changed dramatically, as you can see below by clicking on the continue reading button.-DocFB P.S. Special shout out to Tony Kanal of No Doubt who was in heaven with this band and the set lists. Tony knows his P shhh and was great being able to talk to him and get his thoughts on stuff. Great guy. Great musician. Diagnosis: Cali4nia...knows how 2 party....
