Jazz artist Melody Gardot has just released "The Absence" her 3rd CD. This time, she hooks up with noted guitarist and film composer Heitor Periera.
Gardot's third album reflects her time spent travelling the globe in support of her two previous releases, Worrisome Heart and My One and Only Thrill. After exploring the deserts of Morocco, the tango bars of Buenos Aires, the beaches of Brazil, and the streets of Lisbon, the Philadelphia-based artist captured the essence of these exotic locales in her new music.
Gardot found her voice during music therapy sessions after she was hit by a car at age 19. Now 25, the singer also models for luxury brands Lanvin and Piaget in between sold-out concerts around the globe.
The Absence is available on
iTunes and
Amazon, and is streaming in full on Spotify.
