28 Jul Finally! Official PRINCE Tribute Concert Set To Take Place October 13th In Minneapolis!
The official Prince Tribute Concert will be taking place October 13th, 2016 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the family for Prince announced on Thursday.
Performers will be announced over time with the tickets going on sale in August.
The family had this to say in a release to the associated press:
“We have been moved by the tremendous love and support of Prince’s friends and fans around the world.”
“We are excited for the opportunity to bring everyone together for the official family celebration of Prince’s life, music and legacy, and there is no better place to do it than his hometown of Minneapolis,”
“We are honored by the artists who will pay tribute and grateful to those that have worked so hard to make this celebration possible.”
The concert was slated to take place in August and then pushed back until late September with now the official and concrete date of October 13th.-DocFB
Diagnosis: There have been discussions of who will perform at the event. When we have more info on performers, we will let you know as well as the on sale date.

“Bringing everyone together” will not be possible unless this concert is made available to ALL – COUNTLESS world-wide fans – by social media format[s] such as FREE online services. WHY? There is not a venue on our planet that could seat the fans who will forever continue to carry PRINCE in their hearts!
That said,there is surely no one amongst us that envisions themselves being denied the grand gift of a celebratory tribute to our brother Prince Rogers Nelson!
To the family of Prince: a legion of world fans are watching and waiting. Please both – honour his enduring memory – and our perpetual love, as you and the family create this tribute!
