15 Apr Electric Ladies! Janelle Monae To Be First Musical Guest On “The Maya Rudolph Show”
Maya Rudolph is getting her own variety special on NBC and it will feature Raphael Saaddiq as the band leader and the first musical guest will be none other than Janelle Monae!
“The Maya Rudolph Show” will air May 19th at 10 P.M. and feature several of her former SNL cohorts like Fred Armisen, Chris Parnell, and Andy Samberg. The show will also feature Sean Hayes, Kristen Bell, and Craig Robinson.-DocFB

Posted at 02:50h, 18 AprilThe ‘Lorne Michaels Network’ has become redundant sameness(or staleness), but this one could be really good. Short-Tight-Quick Bits would be great to see, rather than long-form boring sketches. It’ll be amusing to see how America will embrace this incredible ‘new’ bandleader(‘Wow, this guy is great. What else has he done.’ I imagine many saying.) all these years after ‘Born Not To Know’, ‘If I Had No Loot’, ‘Dance Tonight’, and his great solo stuff.
