The song was produced by Glen Ballard, the man who made Alanis Morrisette, gave Aerosmith their 1st ever number 1, and gave Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” life.
The song only made it to number 38 on the Billboard charts. Interesting.
The song was recorded with no rehearsals with Gwen Stefani writing the song solo. When Gwen is allowed to write what she wants, with no restrictions, there is no one better. The process with her and No Doubt may take longer, but with songs like “A Simple Kind Of Life” the wait is more than worth it.
