31 Jan Hannah Ford L.O.L. (Live Out Loud) Photo Still Released; Makes Top Female Drummers List!

Was it really only 5 months ago that we first talked about Hannah Ford and her joining the NPG? Within those 5 months, her star has risen as she was recently named one of the top female drummers around. It is always nice when good things happen to good people.

Hannah is also featured on a new still of what we presume to be a new PRINCE or NPG or 3rd Eye Girl video entitled “L.O.L. (Live Out Loud)” that 3rd Eye Girl posted on her Twitter account.

Flight Drummers listed Hannah in the top 5 of their female drummers list. 3 of the top 5 have played for PRINCE with Hannah being his current drummer.

They had this to say about the talented drummer:

This young female drumming sensation is one in a million! Hannah was born in Louisville, Kentucky and at a young age, has studied with some of the best drummers in the world. Among that list of drummers is Louie Bellson, Ndugu Chancler, Peter Erskine, Stanton Moore, Johnny Rabb, Ignacio Berroa, and many more.

Directly following high school she accepted a scholarship to Chicago College of Performing Arts.

    Hannah is good i have seen her play a couple times and watched many videos and she has a very unique sense of playing and when she drums she looks as if she is enjoyong it

    this is unbelieveable. of the top 5 drummers 3 were/are with prince. they got their greatness from prince. yip, he can pick them!

    Flight Drummers? Unheard of big name “magazine” from nowhere. I’ll look for it on my local news stand. Total objectivity there, ahem. Accolades heaped on by friends and family are not accolades. Sad. Why marginalize yourself by pointing out the fact you have breasts and a uterus? Is it because if you didn’t have XX chromosome you’d be just another drummer?

    Somehow I don’t think she would have received this much attention if she wasn’t in Prince’s band of late. Haven’t heard her played live yet, but I agree with Kool, as Sheila E was the best drummer in Prince’s band, and doubt Hannah could top that, but good luck to her.

    She looks hot!. But Sheila E remains my favorite Prince drummer…But can’t wait to experience Hannah live. But I think I already did. Didn’t she play 4 Prince on Kimmel?
