06 Oct ESPN Fires Hank Williams Jr. For Obama Hitler Comments
He was too late with the an apology and for comparing President Obama to Hitler, Hank Williams Jr. is now without a job.
Hank Williams Jr. will now longer be the voice you hear before Monday Night Football games. “Are You Ready For Some Football?” Well I am, but Hank Williams Jr. won’t be anymore.
“We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr.,” ESPN said in a statement. “We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”
Hank Williams Jr., however is trying to say it is his decision and he quit; “After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You [ESPN] stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment, Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and all my rowdy friends ARE OUT OF HERE! It’s been a great run.”
Yea, sure you quit Hank. You would have said this Monday night when you said you were misunderstood and then when you “apologized” Tuesday.
Honestly, I think it sucks someone was fired for speaking his mind but comparing a U.S. President to one of the worst humans that ever lived, on public tv, and not in your living room, is just stupid.
What do you think of ESPN’s decision to can Hank Williams Jr.?-DocFB

Posted at 21:21h, 10 OctoberWhile we’re on the subject of stupid comments, how about this one: “He was too late with the an apology and for comparing President Obama to Hitler, Hank Williams Jr. is now without a job”
Seriously, like that was Hank Jr’s “Job” and now he has to find another. LMAO

Posted at 12:19h, 07 OctoberI would have compared that usurper known as Obama to Satan. Bruce, Paul, John, and Barak, you are mindless useful idiots. Thank you Susan for being the only one here with the ability to think for yourself and use reasoning to get to the truth.

Posted at 15:32h, 06 OctoberESPN firing Hank the Skank has nothing to with first amendment rights. The First Amendment states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” So don’t waste your time calling the ACLU. ESPN should have exercised its right to fire you long time ago, especially if there was a “morality” clause. Most people can be fired if their boss hates them.
