Authorities today identified a 2-year-old boy who died following a fall from a luxury suite after the Lakers’ game against the Golden State Warriors at Staples Center.
Lucas Anthony Tang of Garden Grove died at County-USC Medical Center about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the coroner’s office said.
The boy fell from a luxury suite into the lower bowl — a drop of as much as 50 feet, police said.
According to a local newspaper, the boy was at the game with his parents and an 11-year-old sister. The death was being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department’s abused-child unit.
