For our friends overseas who were enjoying Sheila E. playing with Prince, I hope you enjoyed it as it appears she will not be joining him for further dates.
Sheila posted this on her Facebook and Twitter accounts earlier;
“Hello to all my fans who came out to the shows Bergen, Copenhagen & Herning. I am so blessed. (bad news 4 those who won’t see me in Italy) Prince changed his mind to have me on those dates. My apologies for any inconvenience I have caused you. God bless and I will see you soon.”
No word yet if Sheila will be one of the guests on those “Welcome 2 America” dates which still have not officially been announced when or where they will take place.-Dr.FB

Posted at 07:42h, 16 Januaryfuck all of u who don’t like shelia e. i like prince too, but shelia e. i freakin’ love her. to me she never looked so good like now. shelia looks much better when she made her 1st & 2nd album back then. shelia is still super talented love how she beats the livin’ hell out of those drum & dances her ass off . i still remembers how shelia used to show-off by throwing up a drum stick behind her back and catching it. i just sat back w/joy n laughter. Posted at 21:30h, 27 October@Tellemhowyoureallyfeel that’s the thing….we do not know what really happened…there are people on here talking about “oh he really was not there” but how can they prove that?? That’s all I’m saying. And yes I do not see anything wrong with her doing updates for her fans. To be honest, I did not care whether he was really there or not…what I did admire was the fact that she was doing the updates, she was enjoying Copenhagen, etc etc. I’m not reading to much into it even though there are other people who are.
And yes, I do agree she can do her own shows. I see some done in CA, but there are peeps who would love to see her and her band in NY and in other places as well.

Posted at 02:07h, 27 OctoberLook at her Twitter page. It has Prince all over it, looks like a fan page. Surprising since no other “associated artist” posts pics with Prince. I think she wants nothing more than to play with him and now that he cut her off, she is trying to use her fans to speak up so he changes his mind. She’s a nice addition to the show but in the end except for a handful of hardcore Sheila fans people go to see Prince. When you look at the videos of her on stage on the tour, she comes across a little overbearing, it’s still his stage and his tour. I wonder why she goes through the fans instead of getting pics and video from the source. She asked several times for them, after not getting much feedback, I assume, and in order to make people send her stuff, she did that video acting like Prince was next to her and the request was from the both of them. Which we all know it was not, neither was he there (assuming the fans are dumb enough to believe that and get all excited). While his team is busy taking video down from youtube his band member is asking for more in his name? Amusing for sure, and somebody seems to have a lot of time on their hands.

Posted at 23:47h, 26 October@ Erica – You didn’t see any harm in Sheila doing it but maybe Prince did. Sheila tried to make it seem like Prince was there in the last video. She even shushed him. For you to say something like that gives me the impression that you didn’t watch the last video I watched. Sheila was sitting at a table with a coffee cup in her hand, she said Prince’s name several times, and she shushed him. It all appeared phony. I didn’t believe Prince was there. You are right that Sheila worked hard and became a well-known musician in her own right, but nevertheless Prince has changed his mind and doesn’t need her there. Sheila can go on HER tour and make video updates for HER fans while Prince continues HIS tour without Sheila doing video updates about Prince’s band members.

Posted at 09:37h, 26 Octobersame old story. How is it people simply can’t see Princes patterns. From what I saw she really lit the place up- I’m sure Prince isn’t too thrilled to share the spotlight. Too bad cause his no personality backing band (and that is the problem- it’s a BACKING band) ain’t helping the cause. Personally I thought it was making Prince work harder to be on stage with a great personality with him. Now he can go back to coasting (and sure- coasting for Prince is better than some 100%…but I don’t PAY to see coasting – I’d rather see less talent working hard!)

Posted at 02:36h, 26 OctoberI will miss her tremendously! But Prince is just shaking it up and keeping it fresh, I guess. He does change his mind a lot, as we know – not always for the better – but hey, we love him and we just go with the flow, right? I’m sure Sheila does too, she knows him too well to do anything else. But the little vids she did were cool, the one where she pretended Prince was next to her was FUNNY! C’mon, surely he could see that?! I really don’t think that’s the reason (nor her asking people to send her copies of their short clips of the show). In Herning I had the distinct impression he was kind of ok with the cameras for once. He sang straight into some of them – he clearly saw them and if it gets over the top, he does have ways of making security enforce the ban. After all, Dr FB also asks for and posts pix & vids and he’s not on the black list, right? 😉

@AC – how do u know that for sure? from what I’ve seen, she did not do the videos to make it look like Prince was with her…she was simply keeping in touch with her fans…that’s all she was doing, just keeping people up to date…I didn’t see any harm in her doing that and it was her decision to do that for the people who actually admire her. So for u to say something like that in such a negative tone gives me the impression that u have something against her. She works hard and became a well-known musician in her OWN RIGHT over 30 years ago, so its very unfair for u to say something like that. And besides, its HER twitter and twitvid…if she feels like sharing where she is on her journey, she has that right.
