I bet you thought we forgot Janet Jackson had a birthday yesterday. Nope. I just wanted this funky jam to kick start the week.

    Janet Jackson proved to be a box-office draw in Tyler Perry’s ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?” earlier this year. Now the “Make Me” singer is responsible for setting records for Essence magazine’s forthcoming Essence Music Festival.

    According to published reports, Jackson, who as previously reported headlines one of three concerts in New Orleans in July, sold out a show in not days or hours but minutes.
