Ted Kennedy has died of brain cancer at the age of 77. It is being reported he passed away shortly before midnight.
Kennedy has been battling the disease for over a year now. The Kennedy family released this statement:
“We’ve lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever. “”He loved this country and devoted his life to serving it.”
Kennedy has been a huge supporter of the health care reform act and as well as a legend in politics.
